Four destinations: France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. We do not cover Germany, the Netherlands, the Nordics, or destinations outside Europe. Keeping the destination set narrow lets us know each route deeply. If your destination falls outside the four, ask us — we will hand you to a network partner who specialises in it.
-
Yes. Ilford Town Centre, Goodmayes, Seven Kings, Cranbrook, Newbury Park, Gants Hill, Barkingside, Wanstead, Woodford, Valentine's Park, and the IG postcode set as a whole. Surveyors visit anywhere on it.
-
Three steps. You send us a brief — rough volume, destination, intended dates. A surveyor walks the property at a time that suits your family. We come back with a written quote: one number covering transit, customs, insurance, and door-to-door handling. Considered, not rushed.
-
We handle the chain — survey, packing, customs paperwork, transit, delivery, unpacking on request. Your part is to be at the property when the crew loads in Ilford, and at the destination when it arrives. Everything in between is ours to look after.
-
Goods-in-transit cover is built into every move, underwritten by an established UK marine insurer. All-risks cover for fragile, high-value, or art-grade items is flagged at survey and itemised in the quote. The certificate of insurance comes attached to the written quote — peace of mind built in.
-
Yes. Member of the British Association of Removers, Overseas Group. The membership covers code of conduct, formal dispute resolution, and advance-payment protection on your deposit — the kind of protections that matter when you are moving a family across borders.
-
Over a decade serving Ilford and the wider Redbridge borough. The depot sits within the borough; the destination network in France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal has been built up over the same period.
-
Transit time depends on the route, your volume, and the customs queue on the day. The written quote includes a likely window for your specific corridor — we will not commit to a number we would have to caveat. Country-page FAQs cover the route-specific variables.
-
Storage is available at the Ilford depot and at all four destination depots. Charged separately, flexible duration. We would rather hold your goods carefully than push a delivery your destination is not ready for.
-
Yes. EORI, ToR1 transfer-of-residence relief, HMRC C1331, and the destination filings — French douanes, Italian dogane, Spanish aduanas, Portuguese alfândegas. Your part is to provide inventory information at survey; we file the rest.
-
Pets are outside our scope; we recommend a specialist for those. Vehicles go through partner transport firms, costed separately. Pianos travel in dedicated cradles with specialist movers. Wine moves under climate-controlled conditions with the right paperwork. Each one is itemised in the quote so the cover applying to each is explicit.
-
Often, yes. If part of the move sits at a relative's in Essex or a storage unit elsewhere in East London, we add the additional collection point at survey. It folds into the same fixed quote.
-
We call to find a slot that suits your family, and the surveyor visits your IG-postcode address. The visit takes around an hour for a typical four-bedroom home. No pressure, no figure pushed at the door — the written quote follows by email.
-
Yes. International conveyancing rarely runs to plan, and we hold goods at the destination partner depot until you have access. Storage charged separately, flexible duration. We have done this on every corridor we run.
-
Yes. Pack-only is available where you are arranging your own transit; full-pack-and-move is the more common arrangement. Pack-only is most often booked by households whose timeline splits over several months.
-
Sign the quote and pay the deposit — that confirms the booking. The balance is due before the load leaves Ilford. Booking sits inside our standard BAR Overseas Group terms; cancellation, claims, and payment windows are spelled out on the quote document.
