Where considered moves go to Spain

Discover a calmer way to move to Spain.

From Ilford through France to the Costa del Sol, Costa Blanca, Madrid, Barcelona, and the Balearics — the NIE and the padrón attended to with care so neither becomes a problem.

ILFORD REMOVALS

France is the route we have run longest, with the steadiest weight of practice behind it.

Spain is our cheerfully-busy corridor — the Costas, the Balearics, the inland villages of Andalucía. Each region has its own rhythm and its own dance with the local NIE office. The eastern route via Lyon, Barcelona, and Valencia is what we run weekly; the western Atlantic route serves the Costa de la Luz and inland Andalucía.

The padrón is the piece that catches families out — it is your registration with the local town hall, required within thirty days of moving in for healthcare and most utility connections. We do not file it for you, but we time delivery so you have access to the property well before the deadline.

What we carry

What sits inside your written quote.

  • Door-to-door collection from your IG-postcode address

Surveyor across Ilford Town, Valentine's Park, Goodmayes, Cranbrook, Wanstead. Same crew loads in Ilford, hands off at the Spanish frontier.

  • Spanish-speaking coordinator

Native Spanish. Handles padrón timing, comunidad de propietarios sign-offs, Costa-side delivery scheduling.

  • EORI and ToR1 filing

UK-end customs paperwork, filed on your behalf with HMRC.

  • Spanish aduanas paperwork

Bilingual customs inventory and entry-point declaration. Andalusian and Catalonian crossings each have their own quirks; our partners know them.

  • Goods-in-transit cover

All-risks underwritten cover, climate-controlled options for art and instruments through Spanish summer.

  • Costa-route fleet

Lyon → Barcelona → Valencia → Málaga is our weekly run. Coastal salt-air packing on request.

  • Storage either side

Indoor depot in Ilford; partner depots in Málaga, Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona.

The paperwork side

What you will need to bring with you.

NIE · Número de Identidad de Extranjero
Foreigner ID number. Required for almost every official transaction in Spain. Apply at the Spanish consulate in London before you fly, or in-country at the Oficina de Extranjería.
Padrón · Empadronamiento certificate
Local town-hall registration. Required for healthcare and many utility connections. Apply at the destination ayuntamiento within thirty days of moving in.
EORI number · UK Economic Operator Registration
Filed by us with HMRC.
ToR1 declaration · Transfer of Residence relief
Duty-free relief for household goods owned over six months.
Bilingual customs inventory · Inventory document
Spanish aduanas accept English at major crossings; bilingual smooths regional routes.

Where We Go

Five regions, one well-known corridor.

  • Costa del Sol

Marbella, Estepona, Mijas, Fuengirola. Gated developments, comunidad lift bookings, weekday-only deliveries on most urbanizaciones.

  • Costa Blanca

Alicante, Benidorm, Jávea, Moraira. Apartment blocks with strict moving-day windows — the destination team books the calle and the lift.

  • Andalucía interior

Ronda, Córdoba, Granada — the pueblos blancos. Narrow lanes; smaller-vehicle final mile.

  • Madrid & Barcelona

Centro and Eixample apartments. Permit-restricted zones; the destination team handles the parking-permit chain.

Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza. Ferry from Barcelona or Valencia. Customs cleared on the peninsula.

Ilford Spain

On price

A surveyor walks your Ilford-area property in person before we put a figure on paper. The Costa del Sol is our weekly run; inland Andalucía adds a final-mile transfer; the Balearics add a ferry leg. The written quote is one number covering all of it.

I had promised myself the Costa del Sol for years after my husband retired. The move turned out to be the easiest part. The surveyor visited the Goodmayes flat on a Wednesday with patience and warmth — no rushing, no pressure. The Spanish-speaking coordinator briefed the comunidad president before the lorry arrived. I had access to the flat well before the padrón deadline. The orange tree was already on the balcony when the boxes came in.
